U Graduation and Race for the Cure...

The weather here has been gorgeous the last few days and I've spent a lot of time outside. These two things together have resulted in my arms and face turning a lovely shade of pink. Unfortunately, that shade of pink is very painful and isn't all that cute...

Yesterday I spent 9 hours standing out in the sun directing traffic for the graduations at the U. This is where the majority of my sun burn came from. I took a picture so that you can see how red my face is...
All that time in the sun wore me out and it hurt to move, so I laid down to watch a few episodes of House and ended up crashing pretty early. That was probably good because I had to wake up early this morning to run the in Race for the Cure 5k in downtown Salt Lake. It went pretty well. I was still extremely sore because of my sunburn so I stopped at the store and bought some SPF 85 sunblock and lathered up because the sky wasn't looking all that cloudy...
I was relieved that I was able to run the whole 5k without stopping to walk but my knees are killing me now. I got my orthotics on Wednesday and my feet have felt pretty good. Since I haven't gotten used to them yet, I haven't been wearing them when I run. As a result I have had really sharp pains right under my knees since about mile 2 of my run today and it hasn't let up. I guess I will have to wear them when I run now too.
The first group picture was the U Public Safety team before the run. This second one was us after we finished.

You're athletic and also obviously the hottest one on your team.

Way to go. I mean running the race, not getting the sunburn.
