So it's been a couple weeks since my last update and I've stayed quite busy. After graduation/race weekend, I flew down to Louisiana to spend 5ish days with my best friend from high school Crystal and her 6 month old daughter Marlie. We had a great time sitting around reminiscing and spent every day I was there at the pool. I ended up with a pretty decent (for me) tan and was able to relax and not think about work. I was sad to have to return to the real world and leave such a good friend behind.
When I got back, I had two days of work and then Tuesday I started housesitting for a Sergeant at work. Her husband is a Sheriff's Deputy with the county and is a K9 handler. They were going to go on vacation and couldn't take the K9 with them. So they asked if I would come stay at their really really nice house that is like 10-15 minutes from my work and take care of him while they're gone. The K9's name is Oliver and he's a bloodhound, which is cool except when he finishes eating his food, he sticks his head in his water bowl, then puts it in his food bowl and wipes it out to get every bit of food out of it. Then he comes out to the living room and shakes his jowls covering me with slobber and bits of food. So I've taken a lot of showers in the 3 days I've been watching him.
Yesterday my friend Heather from work had bought a swingset for her kids, so a couple other officers (Smalls and Don) went over to her house to help her put it together. Turns out all the bolts and stuff to assemble it were missing from the box. So we had to go exchange it for a bigger, better swingset. Once we finally got one with all the necessary hardware, we took it back to Heather's to start putting it together. It was a long process even with 4 of us working on it. I think it took a little over 2 hours. We had a lot of fun and I rediscovered my love for building things...
Anyway, that's the short and sweet version of my last couple weeks for those of you who get distracted easy. :)

It sounds like you've been busy! Marlie is adorable, tell Crystal I said so (please!) I bet her and my Hannah would get along great!
I'm going to be driving through Loiusiana in July with Audrey. I hope the humidity isn't really bad. I can handle heat but the humidity is a killer.
